FOSED specializes in key thematic areas, starting with Capacity Building for Improved Livelihoods, where tailored programs empower communities through training and skill development, fostering economic self-sufficiency. The organization is dedicated to Enhancing Social Services by advocating for and implementing sustainable water and sanitation projects, promoting hygiene awareness, and facilitating clean water sources. Prioritizing gender inclusivity focusing on youth, women, and people with disabilities, FOSED builds capacity for entrepreneurship and development of bankable Projects through mentorship, coaching and training, aiming for economic inclusion and sustainable enterprises.

In the Children's Protection and Well-being realm, FOSED collaborates with communities and other organizations, including government entities, civil societies, faith-based organisations, and the private sector, to implement interventions safeguarding children's rights, promoting education, and preventing child labour. The organization also addresses climate change challenges by enhancing community livelihoods and climate resilience through climate-smart interventions, fostering sustainable practices. Additionally, FOSED works on facilitating access to renewable energy to enhance environmental sustainability.

Human Resource Capacity

FOSED's human resource capacity is critical to its success, boasting a team of seasoned professionals with over 20 years of extensive experience. The core team, consisting of eight key members, is deeply committed to delivering the organization's sustainable services and initiatives. Volunteerism is harnessed as a powerful force, with individuals actively engaged in diverse assignments, contributing to the Foundation's functions and playing a crucial role in mentoring and empowering the next generation of skilled youth.

In situations requiring specialized expertise, FOSED judiciously engages consultants to ensure the highest quality and effectiveness in project execution. The organization's participatory and networking approach extends to talent scouting within communities and fostering partnerships, creating a collaborative ethos that identifies capable individuals and organizations. This strategy allows FOSED to work efficiently with a lean structure while maximizing impact. While the core team comprises eight members, FOSED's operational model is scalable, mobilizing resources and expertise through partnerships and collaborations to create a collective force that transcends organizational boundaries.
